Diazo Sensitizer for Photo Emulsion Screen Printing

Speedball Diazo Photo Sensitizer (4578) is designed to activate Speedball Diazo Photo Emulsion. This 2-step process requires the addition of sensitizer to the photo emulsion in order to activate it. The sensitizer is a thick oil that requires water to achieve the right consistency for mixing with the photo emulsion. Although the sensitizer bottle may feel unfilled, it is not empty.

This product allows artists to create highly detailed or photographic type stencils for screen printing, resulting in professional-grade results without the need for expensive equipment and darkrooms. The emulsion can be mixed and applied under normal light conditions, but it must be kept in a dark place until it is time for exposure.

Speedball Diazo Photo Sensitizer and Emulsion can be used with any water-based or solvent-based ink, making it versatile for use with polyester screen fabrics. When the printing process is finished, the emulsion can be easily removed from the screen using Speedball Diazo Photo Emulsion Remove, allowing the screen to be reclaimed for another use.
